BIOGRAPHY
Islam is a partner and a founding member of this firm.
He has completed his Bar Vocational Course (BVC) from City University, London in 2007. He was called to the Bar in 2008 from the Honourable Society of Middle Temple. Islam is a qualified Solicitor for the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He is also an Advocate in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh since 2001.
Islam has over 24 years of experience in the legal field in Bangladesh and in the UK jurisdiction. Islam is extremely skilled and experienced in Immigration Appeal & JR matters. He loves to take on challenges in the field of Law.
Example of few notable cases:
Islam was the case owner of Ahsan & Ors v SSHD [2017] EWCA Civ 2009. This is the landmark case in ETS/TOEIC matter and decided by the Court of Appeal. Thousands of people have benefitted from the outcome of this landmark case.
Islam is also the case owner of the landmark case of R (New Hope Care Ltd) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2024] EWHC 1270 (Admin). The High Court ruled that the revocation of a care home’s sponsorship licence was unlawful due to procedural unfairness. The Home Office had revoked the licence without providing adequate opportunity to defend the decision, leading to immediate and irreversible consequences.
